A ceramic artist based in Tokyo.

During her university years, a stay in Portland, Oregon brought her into contact with American craft culture, and set her on the path of making things by hand.

After working in interior design, she went on to study ceramics in Kyoto, and now creates her work from a base in Tokyo.

Because her forms and colors are simple, she gives careful attention to every step — from choosing the clay to the final firing — pursuing subtle nuances in color and texture.

Each piece is made with the hope that it brings its owner a quiet pleasure in their own moments of creation.
